About IACT Convocation Ceremony 2017

IACT Convocation ceremony will take place on:

20th May 2017 (Saturday)
9.30am to 1.00pm
At Hilton PJ, Selangor

The convocation ceremony is to celebrate your achievement and also to reconnect with your fellow lecturers and classmates. We are looking forward to see you!
Email invitations have been sent out periodically. If you do not seem to have received any invitation, please contact Cindy via email at cindy@iact.edu.my or Vicky at vicky@iact.edu.my. If you have any further question please do not hesitate to contact them.

Cost and Package Information

The convocation ticket/package is priced at RM220.00 per graduating student (inc. GST).

The package includes:
• Graduation gown hire;
• Three (8x10) photographs (half body, full body and stage group);
• Hi- Tea (standing concept)
• Convocation programme book

Inviting Guests

The charge for each guest is RM150.00 (inc. GST). This price includes:

• Hi- Tea (standing concept)
• Convocation programme book

All graduates and guests must present tickets to enter the Ballroom. Please note children under 12 years old are not permitted to attend the ceremony.

Payment Method

All payments can be made in the form of cash, credit card, cheque to Kolej IACT Sdn Bhd or online transfer.

Robbing and Dress code

Arrangements have been made with YS Photo Studio & Coloring Sdn Bhd for the hire of gowns and hats. Please stop by at IACT Campus to try on your gown size before the actual day. This is to ensure you have the correct sized gown on that day.

For dress code, graduands are advised to dress appropriately in formal attire.
• All male students to be in collared shirt, suit trousers and tie/ bowtie.
• All female students to be in collared sleeved shirt or blouse, long pants or knee length skirt or knee length dress.
• Strictly no slipper, sneakers, sports shoes, open- toe sandals, jeans, t-shirt, shorts, bermudas.


YS Photo Studio & Coloring Sdn Bhd is the official photographer for convocation ceremony. The photo package is included in the graduates’ fee. However, if you wish to have additional photos, YS Photo offers a range of packages. You can directly ask them on the day itself.


The parking rate is RM15.00 nett per car per entry.

All guests will need to validate the ticket in order to enjoy the rate. The validation stamp will be placed at the foyer of the ballroom.

Guests are to pay at the counter located at the Lobby before collecting their vehicle.

Unable to Attend

If you are unable to attend the ceremony, you may nominate a representative whom will have to purchase a ticket at RM150.00. Otherwise, you will only be able to collect your certificate from the Registrar’s Office 6 to 8 weeks after the convocation ceremony. Please speak to either Cindy or Vicky for further details.

Tracer Study

All graduates MUST complete an online Tracer Study administered by the Ministry of Education. To complete this study, please visit http://graduan.mohe.gov.my. The guide to complete the Tracer Study is posted on the official Facebook event page. You may click here see the same guide posted there as well HERE.

Failure to do so may result in being held back from joining the procession regardless that you have purchased a ticket.

Items reviewed and paid are considered final. No changes/ refunds will be allowed. Exceptional cases will only be considered subject to Management discretion.

All refunds for orders will only be entertained after the convocation ceremony as advised by Management.
