2015

IACT College joins BAC Education Group, the biggest education group that comprises Brickfields Asia College, FAC3, Make It Right Movement, Edunation amongst many other organisations, giving the college an extra edge.

2014

University of Sunderland becomes the exclusive 3+0 foreign partner, further enhancing the programmes available to students.

IACT College signs a Memorandum of Agreement with University of Sunderland, UK, to offer a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Media, Culture and Communication. This is also a 3+0 degree programme, awarded by the University.

2013

IACT College forms a dedicated professional training division, named TAP (Training Academy for Professionals). TAP provides greater focus to enhance the professional skills of the creative communication industry. TAP offers a variety of workshops, training seminars, and part-time courses, recognised by Human Resource Development Fund and 4As Malaysia.

2012

IACT College signs a Memorandum of Agreement with University of Sunderland, UK, to offer a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Advertising and Design. This is also a 3+0 degree programme, awarded by the University, and fully accredited by the Malaysian Qualification Agency and the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, United Kingdom.

2010

IACT College signs a Memorandum of Agreement with University of Hertfordshire, UK, to offer a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Mass Communication. This is a 3+0 degree programme whereby students study the full duration at IACT College, are assessed by the University, and graduate with a degree from University of Hertfordshire. The degree programme is accredited by Malaysian Qualification Agency, as well as the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, United Kingdom.

Zencall Holdings becomes majority shareholder of the institution. Unified under a shared vision with MAA and 4As to develop the creative communication industry, ACT is renamed International Advertising, Communication and Technology College (IACT College) and relocates to a new premises at Jaya One, in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

2008

Malaysian Qualification Agency awards accreditation for Diploma in Broadcasting.

2006

Malaysian Qualification Agency awards accreditation for four additional programmes: Diploma in Mass Communication, Diploma in Graphic Design, Diploma in Multimedia, and Certificate in Communication Studies. International Advertising Association, New York, awards all diploma students with the Diploma in Marketing Communication.

1994

ACT begins partnering with prestigious foreign universities, offering advanced, credit-transfer opportunities for its diploma students.

1993

ACT receives full accreditation by the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA), and establishes itself as a private college, residing in Damansara Utama, Selangor.

The institution commences the new expansion with a Diploma in Advertising, accredited by MQA. An additional accreditation is awarded by International Advertising Association (IAA), New York. Students enrolled in Diploma in Advertising, also are awarded a Diploma in Marketing Communication by IAA, New York.

In addition to the suite of professional development programmes, part-time courses are offered for professionals to enrol in the Diploma in Marketing Communication.

1983

Joint Education Committee is renamed Institute Advertising Communication Training (ACT).

1970

Two of the largest marketing and advertising associations in Malaysia, Malaysian Advertisers Association (MAA) and the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents, Malaysia (4As), founds an institution named Joint Education Committee, which ultimately becomes IACT College. This collaboration is done in effort to increase the talent pool of people specialising in creative communication. Professional training courses are offered to individuals to develop specialised skills needed in the industry.
