Our First Class Honors Degree Graduates (2018)
Reyna Gopal IACT College
Reyna Gopal,
BA (Hons) Media, Culture and Communication

This degree programme has opened my thoughts to a world of ideas and possibilities. Not only did it allow me to learn how media functions in the UK and in Malaysia but also to understand how cultures and power interplay in the discourse consumed by mass. It definitely took me by surprise, pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged my conventional views to question narratives and ruminate on the agendas embedded in communication processes from a bird’s eye view. Truly a feast for the mind.

Deborah Chris Raj IACT College
Deborah Chris Raj,
BA (Hons) Media, Culture and Communication

We all have great ideas, but we may not know how to bring it to fruition. Studying BA (Hons) Media, Culture & Communication has equipped me to curate purposeful projects, and taught me how to back it up with relevant resources. In the same process, the lecturers have also guided me to dig deep into the formation of different cultures as well. Understanding the seed of mass culture and popular culture is key for us to become leaders – not followers – in the media industry. The programme is not typical, but it’s the blend you need to venture into your new phase of life.
